personalized learning for adult learners has three key components. Lerner identities. Thes consists of the learning record, what learning has been completed and how the learner performed. But more importantly, it assesses Lerner competencies and weaknesses. Identifies the learner's goals, recommends learning paths and tracks progress towards achievement. Personal learning paths. This means allowing the learner to chart their own path and choose from multiple options to satisfy requirements. For example, a learner could shoes to complete a self study, listen to a podcast or take a Web based training in order to satisfy the course requirements on a topic. This allows the learner to account for their personal learning style and sets them up for success to maintain consistency. Regardless of the course method selected, the learner is required to pass the same assessment, competency based progression.
