When I was a child, I used to get really excited about the annual school trip. They would often take us of his old monuments. For me, it felt like travelling back in time. I imagined rebuilding the ruins of ancient civilizations, giving them a new lease of life in the present day to die. This is precisely what the digital humanist does. It may seem like a paradox, but the connexion between the humanities and computer science actually bridges the gap between the past and the future. Helping us better understands the history of our culture and civilisation, communicate to the public and passes on to future generations all thanks to new technology. That's why I'm here.
