There's no right or wrong way to do this exercise, the way you do it and how you feel is right for you and how you're feeling at this moment, simply accept it, giving yourself permission to feel whatever it is that you're feeling, take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. And as you take a deep breath, breathe in more oxygen enlivening the body. And as you exhale, have a sense of relaxing more deeply on the third or fourth exhalation, let your eyes gently close. Or if you prefer, look down to the ground and let your breathing return to its natural rhythm. Notice how your body is seated in the chair, feeling the weight of your body where it touches the chair. Notice the sensations of your feet, touching the floor, the weight and pressure and warmth, bring your attention to your breath. Don't try to change it. Just notice the rhythm. Notice where you feel most movement on the in breath and on the out breath, bring your attention to your stomach area.
