In this video, we will explore how to achieve mental wellness and good sleep by understanding its relationship with mental health. At the end, we will share our expert advice to getting good sleep. Anxiety and sleep have a two way relationship. On one hand, anxiety can impact our sleep cycle, which represents the biological changes that occur during sleep. In particular, anxiety causes the REM sleep phase, also known as the Dreams phase to be restless. This results in the activation of our brain's stress system. When this happens, we may be unable to cope during tense situations in the day because we were unable to sleep properly. Having restful REM sleep can calm the stress system of the brain so that we can handle stress better. Hence, having a good night's rest will reduce the likelihood of depression and anxiety. Dementia.
