How to complete employee performance reviews. In workday, each of your direct reports will complete a self evaluation by November 18th. As each self evaluation is completed, you will receive a notification on your workday. Home screen click get started to begin your review. You will be able to view each goal as well as the employee's self evaluation for that goal click rating to assign the employee a performance rating for that goal. Add your review notes in the comment field, scroll down the page to view the next goal, assign a rating and add your comments, scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the manager summary workday will calculate a rating by taking an average of the goal ratings you have assigned. If you change a rating for a particular goal, the overall rating will automatically update. You also have the option to manually change this rating and you can add comments to summarize the employee's performance. When you are done, you can save for later or click next. Now you'll see the values page for each value. You can see any comments the employee added, add your comments on the employee's performance against each value when you are done, you can save for later or click next. Lastly, you will see the additional comments page. This will show your employee's plans for development next year and additional comments they wanted to share, add your comments for the employee's 2023 development goal. Add any additional information you want the employee to know about his or her performance this year. Then click next. Now you will see the overall rating page. This will show the final calculated rating for your employee. Again, you can manually change this rating. If you wish, you also have the option to add comments here. Click next workday will show you your goal ratings, value comments, additional comments and final rating for your employee. You have the option to send the evaluation back to your employee to add more information if needed or you can click safer later if you're not ready to submit. If your review is complete, click submit, remember your review and rating must be submitted by January 4th in order to progress to the compensation component of the year end process. Once you click submit, the review will be in a hold step for compensation planning. Once that phase is complete, the manager review form will go to your inbox as a to do to deliver your review to your employee. Do not click submit on this to do until you have held your performance review meeting with your employee. You should hold your review meeting between February 14th and 27th. After your review meeting, you can go to your workday home inbox, find your to do and click submit. At this point, your employee can view the performance rating and review in workday. They will be required to acknowledge receipt of their review and that's it. The year end performance review process for 2022 is complete.
