my own journey through deconstruction is lately brought me back around to what is being called the gospel of inclusion and a search for community to parse out the true message Jesus called his followers to follow. Jay Bakker has always been a touchdown in my life to Jesus gospel of unconditional love and grace. Jay's journey since becoming publicly open and affirming has been a hard road, a road of loneliness and a road less traveled by most Christian pastors. Through the years, a handful of churches and preachers have followed this small dirt path and have seen their ministries hampered by empty pews and financial hardship. But through their convictions, they've endured. J. Baker is now in Minneapolis, Minnesota, re married with two kids, ministering with small community at Bryant Lake Boland Theater. His messages on inclusion and grace seem to be resonating more with me lately, and I had the pleasure to speak to him again about the gospel of inclusion. Welcome to the armchair philosopher.
