All my life, I’ve been involved in amateur “show biz” — stage, radio, pretending I was on TV (at age 10), writing musicals, playing piano, singing.. It’s in the family. Dad was a music teacher,va great jazz piano player, and a writer of musicals and variety shows. I’m a good mimic; I speak three languages, I have a lively and slightly warped sense of humor, and I’m a good listener, which may be why some people describe my voice as reassuring (among other things).
