Then Gemma said, and we need to get going. We're down to seven minutes. Allie opened the door, a sliver and Owen clothes back in hand steps forward, ready for her to signal to head out. But instead Allie shut the door, turned her eyes wide and gestured frantically that they needed to be quiet. Footsteps sounded in the hall outside, then stopped right in front of the closet door.
