the most appropriate time for a human being to speak out about events in history is when they are quite certain that by doing so many people will be fearful of what they have to say. Well, just as many, if not more, will be on the edge of their seat waiting to hear what truth is revealed to the world that makes that part of history much more concise relative and meaningful. I've never been shy about sharing an unpopular opinion or exposing an unpopular truth. I haven't always been right and I haven't always been wrong, but I've always been blunt, human self deprecating and honest. And in the coach Tony franklin podcast that will continue before expressing who should listen to this podcast, it's better to say who should not listen. If you're offended by an occasional adult slang word, don't listen. If you're completely uninterested in the hard truth and more interested in maintaining a utopian ideal about your life, about non factual opinions. You probably shouldn't listen If you are politically correct in every single phase of your life, this show won't be for you if you have zero interest in facts and opinions that are unique and different to yours, don't listen, who should listen? Those that love good, blunt, honest storytelling. If you've wondered about the inner workings of the college football industry and the major themes behind the good, the bad and especially the ugly part of the industry, you're gonna be thrilled when you listen to this show, those humans who relish more information about characters like mike leach Tommy Tuberville, how mummy Jared Goff and other national figures whom I've had personal relationships with. You'll enjoy this show if you're an imperfect person and you love a good underdog story. This podcast is definitely for you. If you literally hate my guts and you can't wait to hear about my multiple failures in life, I promise you, you won't be disappointed if you're interested in living a life where you daily seek another human to do something good for and that human could never do something to repay you as long as you live. I promise you, you're gonna benefit from this show if you've had your *** kicked in life. If you're an outcast, if you're a misfit and especially if you're crazy, you will actually love this podcast. Some of the epic oh episodes are going to include a miracle in Mayfield. How a small town in western Kentucky literally saved my life. You're going to hear a story about how I was hired by an American patriot according to some Americans or I was hired by an American trader according to other Americans and that's my 2007, unbelievable, compelling story about getting hired as the offensive coordinator at Auburn University by current United States senator Tommy Tuberville. But you'll also be intrigued probably even more intrigued by my really unusual firing by an american patriot or an american trader, the same United States senator Tommy Tuberville, if you're a misfit. If you're an outcast, if you're a weirdo and especially if you're crazy, you're going to hear stories about my favorite humans in football and in life and you will love it because you are one of them. You're also going to hear an episode about whether or not mike leach would actually be a damn good president of the United States and or commissioner of the N. C double A. I've got pretty strong opinions about both love and hate. You'll also hear a story, the word that I truly believe that how money did more for Kentucky football than any other head coach in the history of Kentucky football and that includes, yes bear Bryant. There was a time in my life that I was too young to kill but I did kill and there was also a time where I was too young to be a head football coach and I was a head football coach. There are stories about my life as an adult where I didn't have enough money and I slept in my car where I had to go to pawn shops in order to pawn off bullrings and championship rings in order to be able to give my kids a christmas that they deserved and eventually how life changed and how life turned to where I was able to live in some dream homes. But there's also times in this life to where yeah, I was visited by the FBI not once, but on two separate occasions. Also by the I. R. S. And I've had them as a guest in my home and in my football office. There's also gonna be for all of us a chance that we're not always going to be right. We're not always going to be wrong, but I can promise that on this podcast we won't be right. We won't be wrong all the time. But what we will always will be is interesting, will be fun, will be informative and will be relevant. So join us every week on the coach, Tony franklin podcast.
