In crisis settings around the world. Cash and voucher assistance plays a critical role in helping affected communities get back on their feet. But like any form of assistance. And despite efforts from cash actors, there are risks especially for women. If cash schemes are not well designed, some women might be excluded from participating facing stigma because they are divorced from an ethnic minority or simply lack identification to register for the scheme. In other places, women struggle to safely access cash assistance, private agents distributing cash, sometimes request favors in exchange for it.
