So now I have to give up my nice, wonderful hip New York apartment and move out to the suburbs a million miles away from my favorite restaurants. My terrific Jim, the young girl at Starbucks who poise my coffee every morning. The excitement, the pace, the energy of the city I truly love. Along the way, she makes me get rid of my great little sports car that I used to drive up to the Hamptons on summer weekends before I was married. And now I'm forced to own one of those stupid, clunky SUVs, which soon fills up with the same baby crap my wonderful little New York apartment was filled with and no time at all. Every inch of upholstery is covered with crusted slobber and sticky kitty goo. In fact, from now on, everything I touch seems covered with crusted slobber and sticky kitty girl. As the kids get bigger, my space grows smaller. Now there are bicycles and wagons and scooters and skateboards and bunk beds and drum sets and car pulls into Little League and soccer practice. And every day it takes a little bit longer to drive up and back to work because every day there's more cars on the highway because every day there's more guys like me getting married, and I'm always rushing and always late. And now we have six kids and life becomes more hectic and jammed and cramped. And I suddenly realized I haven't seen my wife naked in 15 years because three of our kids are still sleeping in our bedroom because my wife has no time for sex because she's busy 24 hours a day figuring out how to put more of her stuff in my closet space.
