I have worked in customer service for the past five or six years, and I constantly get customers commenting on my voice. "Where did you get that voice?" is the most common exclamation. I am a slim and rather short male, and young-looking without a beard. So when my natural deep bass comes out, many people are shocked. One customer who spoke on the phone with me expected a bouncer-like build to meet him in real life; suffice to say he was taken aback when he saw me in the store. During high school I've always been cast as a villain, tragic character, or anti-hero. However, people have also commented that I have 'the voice of God.' The day before I joined this website, a customer paired my voice with James Earl Jones' reading of the Bible. This of course is not the first time I've been compared to Jones; I've also been compared to Barry White's signature baritone - and I don't even sing.
I consider myself an asset in the voice industry because although I can change my voice to different accents or striking styles, I have a naturally deep, soothing, and sometimes authoritative voice. I have made heads turn for six or seven years just by speaking. My friends say that my voice puts them at ease. I know that my type of voice is always needed in the market for voices, and even though I have no formal training I have a penchant for acting. If people on the street find my speech so striking that they constantly comment and turn their heads, I can only imagine what listeners on commercials, movies, and television will think. With my voice, there are numberless possibilities.

As a person, I am very adaptive. I have been in a variety of situations throughout my young life, including military training, overseas travel, and exposing myself to different religions. My open minded and adaptive persona has often allowed me to go 'chameleon', much to the annoyance of some of my friends. But it allows me to blend into almost any situation. This is key in acting and working on any project in any industry. As for my voice, its deep timbre 'speaks' for itself. I have that million dollar voice naturally. An April study from this year even revealed evidence that a deeper voice in CEOs may correlate to better success. Deep voices command authority and put people at ease.
I am also a writer (unpublished) and have a gift for making my characters living, breathing people; because for me, they are real people. Readers have often commented how real my characters seem, how they fell in love with them, how they hated them. I know how to make lines from a script come off the page, I know how to give words life, because I've been doing it for much of my life.
