I am new to the voice acting world, but not to the microphone. When I was younger I acted in several commercials as well as my grandparents productions. In junior high and high school, I participated in speech contests and had a private acting coach. During that time I also started voice lessons and continued for 6 years. Throughout high school I received various awards for speech, classical music, and show choir. When it came to going to college I was certain I wanted to go to an all arts school to study singing, acting, and dancing. Even my voice coach begged me to go, but my parents refused to help me pay for an education in any form of art. So I got a degree in intercultural studies, because I love languages and cultures. Still, I knew something was missing and in secret I wrote music, sang, taught my self some guitar and piano, and practiced acting in front of a mirror. I sought other ways to express my passion, one of them being various musicals and plays. A few years ago I unexpectedly got into voice acting by doing voice over for my sister who was studying animation. Later I stumbled onto a voice acting app called SAY-U (Japanese female voice actress). After a few months of dubbing a variety of cartoons for fun, I decided I wanted to pursue more voice acting and that led me here.
Currently I am taking online voice acting classes, whilst teaching English in Japan, in hopes of learning more about the trade. I am also co- hosting an English radio show in Japan, judging English speech contests, and DJing at my high school.
Other experience includes an abundance of plays and musicals. I have been involved in speech competitions as a competitor and a judge. I have won several outstanding awards in speech and music. One of these awards was "Outstanding Female Soloist," which I received in Nashville on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
