Mr. Lohrstorfer has been given a natural God given talent. I am certain that any company who employs him, will be pleased not only with the outcome of the recording but also with the professional way in which he works.St. Thomas More Church
Mr. Lohrstorfer also supported the arts. He was involved with drama as well as being one of our top readers. His soothing voice and ability to take on the character of the reading with great ease led him to be chosen on a regular basis for prominent roles within the church worship.
In the midst of all these practical attributes, he also happens to have a lovely Baritone voice. He has a deep, slightly raspy tone that is very pleasing to hear. He also is one of the best interpreters of the readings I've ever heard. He has an innate ability to really penetrate to the core meaning in the writing, and his delivery, while dramatic, is immediately approachable. I've always loved to have him as reader in important liturgies, I can depend on him to be professional and deliver the words clearly with feeling.STM
I heartily recommend him for any work you might send his way!
I have, with great pleasure, worked with David Lohrstorfer,Lorraine Elkins
specifically, whenever I have needed a strong, authoritative voice, David has been my first casting choice. His voice is deep and resonant, yet understandable. His delivery style is clean and professional in that he annunciates each word while maintaining a natural rhythm and phrasing. For this reason he is always well received and recently, I recruited David and his wife Debra to provide the voice of God during a dramatic reading of the Gospel of John. The two of them delivered their off-stage line as one (speaking in unison) and made quite an impact upon the presentation.
However, the high point of my work with David came when he happily agreed to perform King Lear’s well-known Act III Scene ii speech (“Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks!”)
David has been a complete professional in all my dealings with him. He listens to all production requirements and needs and to all directorial instructions. He asks intelligent questions relevant to the production at hand, revealing both his understanding and experience with dramatic disciplines. He is also unafraid to make suggestions when appropriate. He is polite and respectful, and he is attentive to the task for which he hasbeen employed.
With regards to his acting ability, David seems to slide easily into a character or personality with realistic results. But when this has not proved easy for him, I have witnessed him work on an assigned piece until it is perfected to the best of his ability.
And his ability has always exceeded my needs.
David is easy to work with, has a great sense of humor, and is well liked by all who know him. I would recommend David Lohrstorfer for any voiceover work. His vocal abilities
should appeal to both male and female demographics and work well with any subject matter. I, for one, look forward to many future projects with David.
