With a warm, instantly recognisable, genuine Scottish voice, which can convey any number of emotions, James is building his repertoire of accents and character voices. His years, and considerable success, as a screenwriter, coupled with his acting training, allow him to 'connect' with the words on the page, which always means a job well done. Only with Voices.com a short time, James has already received excellent feedback and 5* scores. As well as recently providing the voice of A.R.M.S Savior Hammerstorm for S2 Games' 'Heroes of Newerth,' James has just been offered the role of First Mate Hoscut, as well as other characters, in the forthcoming game, 'Return of the Obra Dinn,' after successfully voicing the gameplay demo. If you like his demos, please add him to your favourites and contact him when you're ready to hire.

I have performed voiceovers for several student films as well as many local commercials. Voiceover training initially with TVUK then completed a more advanced course with Gary Terzza's Voiceover Masterclass. More recently, I was the voice for Kinetex Vehicle Tracking systems, of Savior Hammerstorm in S2 Games' 'Heroes of Newerth' and of first mate Hoscut in the demo for the forthcoming game, 'The Return Of The Obra Dinn.'

A trained actor and full time screenwriter based in Scotland, I've amassed over 40 hours of film and TV credits, am a member of Equity and WGGB and I am repped in both London and LA. I started doing voiceovers three years ago, cutting my teeth in student films and local company radio commercials. However, personal circumstances forced me to put my new career on hold and it's only now I'm ready to return after refreshing my VO skills by completing courses with TVUK and Channel 4's Gary Terzza. I'm known in my respective fields as a consummate professional who always gives 110% and I am excited to be bringing the same high standards to my VO work. Being used to high pressure, I'm acutely aware of the problems that can be caused by failing to meet deadlines or, indeed, delivering sub par work and am happy to guarantee that won't happen. Being fairly new to the business, I'm afraid I can't publish an impressive voiceover CV for potential employers to judge me by (yet!) but I can promise you that you won't be disappointed with the results I produce either with my fully equipped home studio or in a professional studio.
