My voice is easy on the ears.
The greatest compliment I've ever received was: "Oh, that's YOU? I love that channel. It keeps me company. I turn it on just to hear your voice."
I've been in the voice business since I was 15 years old. My father owned a radio station in central Kansas, and I never knew another life. I grew up surrounded by people who understood the power of the spoken word, and the importance of speaking to just one person.
My early career was spent in England, where I learned the craft of radio and television from BBC announcers, and had the opportunity to work with the superstars of British broadcasting.
Although my accent is long gone, that time in England made an indelible impact on my voice. The English have wonderful inflections; they take us on a ride, tell us a story with their voice.
For 30 years I've owned my own video production company in the Midwest, and directed hundreds of other voice talents, including many celebrities. In addition to many years on public radio, I have voiced hundreds of my own productions. While you may not have heard of my clients, please give me a listen and see if I'm a good fit for your project.
I can be smooth and warm, conversational, informative, loving, amused, authoritative, sultry, and a news announcer. I can sound younger or older than I am, but in general my voice is easy on the ears and ageless.
I've been in your shoes and know how important it is to find exactly the right voice. If I'm right, you'll know it, and I look forward to working with you!
