A Brief Biography of Jason D “J.D” Davis
J.D Davis is a multifaceted artist with a wide range of talent.
Starting out in school drama, J.D got the bug for the "roar of the crowd" after landing the lead role of ‘Nathan Detroit’ in Guys & Dolls.
While serving in the U.S. Navy he managed to keep working, by volunteering with Armed Forces Radio and Television Service, as a Radio Host, Film Maker, and On Camera Talent. He also worked as a live DJ, and hosted talent shows and served as M.C. for various events.
After rejoining civilian life, J.D pursued his childhood dream and began a career as a Radio Disc Jockey. While working on-air, Davis studied Commercial and Animation Voice Over, and Dramatic Improvisation in Los Angeles.
J.D has performed Stand-Up Comedy through-out L.A. and Ventura Counties, and was a vital member of the Ventura Area Theater Sports Improv Comedy Troupe (V.A.T.S) - (now known as Ventura Improv Company) and was a Lead Performer with Troup De Jour.
J.D is a talented musician, and fronts a Progressive Soul combo. Davis has co-written a rock opera, and hopes to bring his Fantastic Vision, to the Big Screen, in a full length animated feature.
Returning to Las Vegas in December of 2008, he landed a gig as a T.V. Puppeteer/host, and worked bringing "Chef Bob Fromage" to life for Cheflive.com/TV. Davis also joined forces with The LVFreeze Improv/Sketch Troupe, and wrote, performed, and taught at The Neon Venus Art Theater. J.D is a key player at LVFreeze Improv School, where he has been asked to become the Managing Director.
Mr. Davis has written a book entitled “Who Then Is Paul…”, and hopes to publish in 2012
