I am an attorney and law professor used to public speaking. I have a booming, commanding baritone voice, but am accustomed to modulating my voice to fit the occasion and the size of the audience or room. People have repeatedly asked me all my adult life (usually when meeting me for the first time) whether I was a broadcaster or on FM radio; actually, I was a regular guest host of a sports talk show on a Cleveland radio station for three years in the mid-1990s. I am from Ohio and have lived most of my life there, but have also lived in Boston, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Indiana. My diction and enunciation is a strong point. I have a fair acuity for certain accents, and can read and speak German, a little Italian, Hebrew and Yiddish.
